iosh training iosh training courses iosh managing safely training COURSE DESCRIPTION IOSH managing safely The courses by Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) has been designed to meet the need to managers and supervisors from any Organization, who are required to manage employees and their work activities, in compliance with the companies’ safety policy and health and safety legislation. IOSH HSE training concentrates on training managers and supervisors to apply sound management principles to health and safety issues as part of a total management strategy. IOSH HSE trainin is tailored to meet the particular needs of organizations and provides successful candidates with a recognized qualification in Health and safety. Course Objectives Upon completion of IOSH Managing Safely candidates will be able to: •Apply basic management principles and practices to Health and safety issues. • Set practical Health and safety objectives and be able to plan and implement means of achieving those objectives. • Recognize risks present in the workplace and set appropriate control measures. • Take account of risks posed by human factors. • Ensure that adequate information, instruction, training and supervision is provided within the workplace. • Investigate all incidents involving injury or damage in order to determine the causes and to take appropriate remedial actions. • Communicate effectively on Health and Safety issues with supervisors, employees, and Health and Safety professionals Successful candidates will be awarded the IOSH managing safely certificate. Duration 4 days (optional 2 days per week):09.30-12.30, 13.00-16.30 daily (plus private study) Examination Test paper with a practical assessment. Location At our premises or at one of a number of selected locations around India. Courses can also be provided at your company site for a minimum of 12 delegates. Course Objective Successful participants will be able to: • Identify hazards and evaluate risks. • Use appropriate precautions for specific risk or seek advice on precautions. • Assist managers in preparing written risk assessment. • Follow their organizations safety policy. • Co-operate and communicate on health and safety matters. • Carry out activities without risk. • Report relevant accidents and incidents; monitor their own activities and assist managers in active monitoring.
